We’ve Expanded! Meet Our New Hires

We are delighted to have recently expanded our office as we grow to work on bigger and more ambitious projects. Meet our two new team members, Mike and Eleanor.

Meet Mike O’Dell. Mike brings a wealth of knowledge and creativity to the team, with 15 years experience working on design-led and internationally recognised practices in Dublin. After qualifying with a first-class degree from Dublin Institute of Technology, he has been teaching architecture at TU Dublin for the last 10 years. Having moved to Edinburgh in 2022 Mike has been an architecture studio tutor at Edinburgh University working with undergraduate students. Mike served on the board, including as President, of the Architectural Association of Ireland. We’re excited to have his experience and knowledge as part of the team.

Our second recent hire is Eleanor Hyde. Els is an outstanding candidate: a recent Part 2 graduate with distinction from Edinburgh University following a degree at The University of Bath. At Edinburgh she participated in the ESALA Radical Harvest studio involving a charitable community live-build project that focused upon low carbon materials, re-use and strategies to strengthen social sustainability. Els’ previous experience includes domestic work in a Bath-based practice and at Stride Treglown, Bristol, within their specialist healthcare team. In 2019 she won the Karla Roman Travel Bursary, presenting her research on Japanese Architecture at LOM HQ in London. Whilst studying, Els worked part time at Obadiah Coffee - a specialist coffee roaster. So she knows her coffee!
