Participated in Portobello High School community consultation. Thoroughly unsatisfactory meeting. However... We were table #3. Our conclusions drawn on page above (click to enlarge) but just to summarise:

1. Investigate if Portobello Park is Common Good Land (probably not seems to be consensus).

2. If it is enact a Private Act of Parliament to allow building here (as at National Galleries in Princess St Gardens.

3. Appeal to supreme court.

1A. IN PARALLEL with the above Council should start feasibility into option 2 site.

NB our table also concluded following:

A. No to community referendum as that would "polarise opinion" and distract from the issue.
B. No to existing school site - too small and de-cant not plausible.
C. No to any site outwith the catchment area of the school.
D. Walking to school is the best option!

10/04/2012 | COMPETITIONS
We were invited to submit a proposal for a 5000m2 office building in Geneva. The site was complicated with a North frontage and surrounded by a mix of housing, office and light industrial buildings. Our proposal was to make a deep timber frame with a mix of timber and glass infill to soften the building. This image by the fantastic Jonathan Knox of Pixogram

Special thanks to new employee Frazer Haviz who has been working hard on these competitions.

Black Isle design exercise: how do you place a modern extension onto an asymetric 1970's house?
Our answer was to ignore that problem and solve a different problem: How to give more height to the ground floor extension when there is a flat roof balcony 2.5m above...

I like our solution (the steps point at the amazing view) and this was done in 6 hours proving we can tailor our services to your requirements!
